The Faculty of Law at The Chinese University of
Hong Kong is a major centre for legal research and teaching. In 2015, it was
ranked as a top-50 law school worldwide according to the QS Global University Rankings. This followed closely on its
being recognized as Hong Kong’s best research law faculty in the 2014 Research
Assessment Exercise conducted by the University Grants Committee of Hong
Kong. The Faculty is highly international in character with professors drawn from
jurisdictions spanning Europe, North America, Australia, New Zealand and much
of Asia. We are Hong Kong’s most dynamic and innovative Law Faculty, based in
one of Asia’s preeminent teaching and research universities. They are
innovators in their respective fields with global reputations and diverse research interests covering everything from company,
tax, trade, intellectual property and environmental law to comparative,
criminal, human rights, international law and international criminal law,
amongst others. And our students can enroll in the full range of undergraduate
and postgraduate degree programmes, including the Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Juris Doctor (JD), Master of Laws (LLM – in Chinese Business Law, Common Law and International Economic Law), Master of Philosophy (MPhil), Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), and the Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (PCLL).
